About this Product

My Itty Bitty Animal Collection

Using traditional woodworking tools, I made this toy free-standing wood toy lion from high-quality, unfinished wood. Perfect for imaginative play and painting, this toy provides endless possibilities for personalization and creativity.

My small animal figurines are crafted from wood cutoffs, ensuring that each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind with its distinct color and character. With a thickness of at least 1/2 inch, these figurines make a charming addition to any home decor or gift for an animal lover.

Approximate size:

  • Length: 2.7-inches
  • Height: 1.6-inches
  • Width: 1/2-3/4-inch

With 60 animals in this collection, shipping several of them together will cost about the same as shipping one due to their size and weight. Check out the collection through the link below for your favorite animal figurine. You only pay my actual shipping cost. Shipping overcharges are refunded.

All the items I create are handmade using natural wood and wood products. Each piece is unique and may vary in appearance from one item to the next. The item you receive may differ slightly from the item pictured in the listing photos. The thickness of the wood used in your item may also vary slightly from the size specified in the listing.

It's important to note that the natural variations in wood grain, color, and knots make each piece one-of-a-kind and add to the item's character and charm. The variations should be expected and are not considered defects. If you have any concerns about the variations or would like to request a specific look or size, don't hesitate to contact me before placing your order, and I will do my best to accommodate your request.

Meet the Maker

I am a 20-year USAF veteran, where I worked in air defense as a radar technician and later as and technical inspector. After leaving the Air Force, I had a second career and retired after 28 years as a Systems Programmer/Linux Administrator.

I am 71 and have been making things from wood since childhood. I make and sell wooden toys, ornaments, puzzles, clocks, fretwork, scrollsaw art, baskets, small animal cutouts, custom orders, and anything that catches my attention. Some of my best ideas have come from customers.

I have an eclectic taste in music. I like some of every kind of music, but I am particularly fond of blues guitar. I am a competition shooter and regularly shoot in Smallbore Rifle and Pistol Silhouette matches and Steel Challenge. I like to pretend I can play the guitar.

I have two grandchildren, my grandson Odin and my granddaughter River.
